We would like to thank the 151 participating pictures. It has been a very interesting edition with amazing photos, some of them spectacular.

The FOTICMAB 2024 has received the participation of 53 pictures in the ARTISTIC category, 47 pictures in the SCIENCE category, 51 pictures in the FAUNA AND FLORA category!

Congratulations to all the participants! You can take a look at all the photos and the votes the winners received, at theFOTICMAB website.

There was a winner, a first finalist and a second finalist for each category.

SCIENTIFIC CATEGORY

First Prize

The first prize of the Scientific Category was Afroditi Koutsogianni and Giulia Pancotti. Giulia is currently doing her PhD in the SUSMOSYS group, while Afroditi is in the NANOPTO group.

 Second Prize

Second on this category were, yet again Afroditi Koutsogianni and Giulia Pancotti, asking us if the image epresents crystals or pine tree branches. What do you think?

Third Prize

Finally, the third prize of this category was for Shunya Yan, who is an International Fellowship PhD student at ICMAB-CSIC.

ARTISTIC CATEGORY

First Prize

The winner of this category was Bernat Bozzo. He is is a technician at the LTM service, and his picture was titled ‘Foc!’.

Second Prize

The first finalist was Georgios Atsas, who is currently doing his PhD at the Functional Surfaces group.

Third Prize

And the third prize went to Elzbieta Pach, a Juan de la Cierva Researcher at SUMAN group.

FAUNA AND FLORA CATEGORY

First Prize

The first prize of the Fauna & Flora category went to Dean Kos, working at the eMolMat group.

Second Prize

The second prize, for a very calming picture, was for Carlos Frontera. He is a permanent researcher at the ACNM group.

Third Prize

And the last but not least prize was for Alberto Quintana, a postdoctoral researcher at FOXEM group.
